Meet the Doctor
Welcome to Sheyenne Dental, and thanks for visiting our site. I’m Dr. Medora West-Roehl, and I am the dentist at Sheyenne Dental.
I was born and raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area and graduated from West Fargo High School. Upon graduation, I attended two years of college at the University of North Dakota before transferring to North Dakota State University and graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. From there, I married my high school sweetheart, Ben Roehl, and began working for my parents’ family-run funeral homes. After welcoming our daughter, Lydia, and six years as the office manager at my parents’ business, I took the plunge and applied to dental school. This was a huge change for the whole family, but with great support, Ben and I packed up, moved to Arizona, and I began dental school with a four-year-old and newborn son, Miles, in tow. Dentistry was my dream, and I knew I needed to pursue my goals to feel fulfilled. It was an incredible four years, but after graduation, we returned home to North Dakota. After practicing for six years and meeting wonderful people in the Casselton and surrounding community, where my dad, grandparents, and great-grandparents grew up, we knew we needed to open Sheyenne Dental.
My approach to general dentistry is to always be learning and offering the best care and technology available. So much advancement and possibility are available in dentistry these days. We want our patients to know that not only can they feel comfortable with our crew on a personal level, but we have the skillset, training, and education to offer the best care available.
In my spare time, I enjoy friends and family. As often as possible, we get together for concerts, plays, lake time, game night, athletic events, and whatever good time awaits. I love outdoor plants and gardening or group time at the pool. Humor and laughter are always present. We love adventures in new places near and far and try to go whenever possible. My husband is an excellent cook, which means we enjoy different food and beverages often. I love holidays and all the different seasons North Dakota has to offer. It’s always so fun to embrace the times.

Holly Shaw, RDA
Hi! I’m Holly! I am a dental assistant at Sheyenne Dental and I graduated from MState in 2014 with an associate’s degree in dental assisting. I enjoy working in dentistry because I love it when we can transform a person’s smile and help people gain confidence.
I grew up in Grand Forks, ND before moving to West Fargo. My two brothers and parents still reside there and I look forward to making it home a couple times a year.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, and crafting. My husband, Nick, and I enjoy going for a drive in the country or catching up on TV shows or movies.
Katie Froehlich, RDH
I’m Katie. I was born and raised in Fargo, ND. In 2016, I graduated from MState with a degree in dental hygiene. I love helping those in my community enjoy judgment-free, trustworthy dentistry. I have assisted alongside Dr. Roehl since 2019, establishing genuine relationships with patients and helping them feel at ease in the treatment chair –this is what I really love about working in dentistry. Assisting is my passion but you may find me in the hygiene chair from time to time.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my son, golfing, and photography.

Haylee Salentine, RDH
Hello, I’m Haylee Salentine. I have been a registered dental hygienist for 5 years. As a dental hygienist I am the familiar, smiling face you see for your routine cleanings here at Sheyenne Dental. I completed my associates degree in dental hygiene through Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead and obtained my bachelors in dental hygiene through Metropolitan State University in St. Paul.
My love for dental hygiene goes back to my childhood, where my mom deemed me as the “brushing police” of our family. My passion for good brushing and flossing has continued into my adult life, and as cheesy as it sounds, I truly love making people smile.
I am a Fargo native and reside in South Fargo with my husband (Jake) our golden retriever (Millie), and our daughter (Lia). Our family is fueled by weekends at our lake cabin, good red wine, time with family, and sporting events.
Jenni Ferris, Office Administrator
Hello, my name is Jenni! I was born and raised in the F/M area and reside in Moorhead with my husband and five children. We have two dogs; Bali (Belgian Malinois) and Lola (German Shepherd) who also keep us busy!
I’ve always had a love of helping people, and knew at a young age I wanted to work in the healthcare field. I developed an interest in dentistry during my high school years and decided to follow that career path. I graduated from MSCSC in 2007 with a degree in dental assisting and have worked in the dental community for the last 14 years.
Joining the Sheyenne Dental team as the front office administrator, I will be the smiling face that welcomes patients to our office, providing exceptional customer service and care with scheduling appointments and answering any dental or treatment related questions. With my extensive knowledge and experience working with dental insurance companies, our patient’s will be well informed of their plan benefits and how they can be utilized to their max.
Outside of work, we keep very busy attending and cheering on our children at volleyball and hockey games! GO SPUDS!!
